02/03/2010 – The Bahrain Oil & Gas Affairs Minister, and Chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) Visits APICORP

Bahrain – Tuesday 23 February, 2010 – His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain Mirza, the Bahrain Oil and Gas Affairs Minister and the Chairman of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), paid a visit to Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation’s (APICORP) Banking Branch, at Al Moayyed Tower in the Kingdom of Bahrain. On his visit, Dr. Mirza was received by APICORP’s Chief Executive and General Manager, Mr. Ahmad Bin Hamad Al Nuaimi, Mr. Nabeel Adsani, Deputy General Manager and a number of APICORP’s senior executives. The minister discussed with APICORP’s executives issues related to energy sector finance on the light of the global downturn.

The meeting with Dr. Mirza was considered productive, as APICORP’s senior executives highlighted the Corporation’s core business activities and vast experience in equity participations, project finance and financial advisory services related to oil and gas and energy sectors in the Arab world. This visit is expected to pave the way for potential cooperation and coordination between APICORP and the Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by His Excellency the minister and his accompanying delegation, in fields related to APICORP’s business operations.
